SABR/ brings a more active rhythm into the idea of a place to stay. A good session. A game that turns into another. Time to recover, eat well and enjoy the company.

The founding location is in Lombok. We are shaping the design now, and sharing the process as it develops.

Room to slow down after effort. Recovery is a design principle here; the facilities and operating details remain in development.

An island with
room to move.

East of Bali, Lombok brings together surf, open coastline and a growing tourism district around Mandalika. SABR is taking shape on the island’s south coast, near Mandalika.

Connected to the island.

Lombok International Airport is the main air gateway. Kuta, Tanjung Aan and Gerupuk put beaches and surf into the wider south-coast experience.

A destination gaining momentum.

ITDC reported approximately 1.24 million visits to The Mandalika in 2024 and more than 1.4 million in 2025. Events, including international motorsport, are part of that activity.

Why SABR fits here.

Our aim is to give guests and local members reasons to return between the big events: a training routine, a regular padel game and a place to spend the rest of the day.

Destination sources and context

ITDC figures concern visits to its Mandalika area, not unique visitors to all of Lombok or projected SABR customers. Its reported average hotel occupancy was around 55% in 2025. Destination activity does not establish SABR’s occupancy or financial performance.

How we use your information

The SABR project team stores your email, request time and the notice version shown here in its website database. We use these records to fulfil download requests and assess project interest. Older requests are removed during routine request processing after 90 days. Access cookies expire after one hour; a temporary anonymous network identifier helps limit automated requests. The file downloads in your browser; no email is sent.

Built experience

Experience that reaches past the render.

SABR/ is led by Spencer Tarring, a British entrepreneur and property developer with more than 25 years building businesses across the UK, China, the UAE and Indonesia.

Before moving his development work to Indonesia, Spencer delivered multiple seven-figure private homes in the UK. In Bali, he designed, developed and brought Umalas Creek into operation: an 11-villa wellness estate set across 1,800 square metres, with private pools and shared recovery facilities.

Umalas Creek reported a 15% annual yield across its first two full years of operation. The result sits behind practical experience in Indonesian design, construction, procurement, local teams, hospitality systems, maintenance and guest operations. That operating knowledge now informs SABR/ LOMBOK.
